LECOM 5K 2025

We are pleased to announce our 12th annual LECOM 5K! This healthful event enables you to walk or run either our 3.1-mile course or one-mile course. All proceeds from the 5K event will benefit the LECOM Student Scholarship Fund, helping to defray the educational costs of our future health care providers from LECOM. Our live event will have the option to utilize timing devices and bibs so you can either compete for a place medal or just go for a personal best. Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers in the 5K race. Post-race refreshments including fruit and water will be available. Each participant will be eligible to win a variety of door prizes following the race courtesy of our sponsors. You must be present to win.

EVENT DETAILS

Participating in our live event:

1. Register by Friday, August 8, 2025 online at www.lecom5k.com.
2. Pick up your race packet on Friday, August 8, 2025 between 5 – 7 pm at the Wellness Center main entrance or on the day of the live event. Registration and packet pick-up will begin at 8 am on race day and close at 8:45 am.
3. Registrations after Tuesday, July 1, 2025 may not be guaranteed a t-shirt by race day.
4. NEW for 2025: register as a team of 5 or more to promote your group or organization.

Same-day registrations will be accepted; however, we strongly recommend that you register prior to race day to avoid any delays.

Virtual option
LECOM Medical Fitness & Wellness Center encourages an active lifestyle. So, we’re offering a virtual option for those who are unable to attend our live event. Our virtual option does not require a timing device for you to participate, but you have the option of posting your time on the registration site to see how your time compares with others from around the country.

Participating virtually May 1 – September 30:

1. Register by Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
2. Complete the 5K or 1-mile walk between May 1 and September 30, 2025 and upload your results to www.lecom5k.com by September 30, 2025.
3. Receive your completion t-shirt by mail in the following month.

ABOUT LECOM

LECOM is an institution that trains Osteopathic Physicians, Pharmacists, Podiatrists, and Dentists. Since its inception, LECOM has proven itself as an educational institution that encourages and supports its scholars through and beyond their years of study. Our Annual LECOM Student Scholarship Galas are the chief generator of resources that are used to assist students in defraying and offsetting the cost of their medical education. Each year, we raise millions of dollars in scholarship aid for our deserving students.
