We are pleased to announce our 13th annual LECOM 5K! This healthful event enables you to walk or run either our 3.1-mile course or one-mile course. All proceeds from the 5K event will benefit the LECOM Student Scholarship Fund, helping to defray the educational costs of our future health care providers from LECOM. Our live event will have the option to utilize timing devices and bibs so you can either compete for a place medal or just go for a personal best. Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers in the 5K race. Post-race refreshments including fruit and water will be available. Each participant will be eligible to win a variety of door prizes following the race courtesy of our sponsors. You must be present to win.

Event Details

Participating in our live event:

1. Register by Friday, August 7 online at www.lecom5k.com. 
2. Pick up your race packet on August 7 between 5–7 pm at the Wellness Center main entrance or on the day of the live event. Registration and packet pick-up will begin at 8 am on race day and close at 8:45 am.
3. Registrations after Wednesday, July 1, 2026 will NOT be guaranteed a T-shirt by race day.

Same-day registrations will be accepted; however, we strongly recommend that you register prior to race day to avoid any delays.

Inaugural 5K Vendor Expo: Held during packet pick-up on August 7. Visit a variety of fitness vendors including HOKA®, Bert’s Bikes and Fitness, Lucky Bean Coffee, and Achilles Running Shop.

Virtual option:
LECOM Medical Fitness & Wellness Center encourages an active lifestyle. So, we’re offering a virtual option for those who are unable to attend our live event. Our virtual option does not require a timing device for you to participate, but you have the option of posting your time on the registration site to see how your time compares with others from around the country.

Participating virtually May 1–September 30:

1. Register by Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
2. Complete the 5K or 1-mile walk between May 1 and September 30, 2026 and upload your results to www.lecom5k.com by September 30, 2026.
3. Receive your completion T-shirt by mail in the following month.
